Carestream to Showcase New Mobile X-Ray System
Carestream is all set to showcase its DRX-Revolution Nano Mobile X-ray System at the Radiological Society of North America conference (RSNA) in November 2017.
Carestream Health is a dynamic global company offering radiography and dental imaging to costumers. The new DRX-Revolution Nano Mobile X-ray System is fully integrated DR portable imaging system. It offers a compact design with an articulating arm and rotation column, small footprint, and carbon nanotube technology that significantly reduces weight.
“When we launched the DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray System, we introduced a new generation of mobile imaging that features an automatic collapsible column for enhanced visibility, powerful dual motor drive, long tubehead reach and specialized image visualization software,” said Sarah Verna, Carestream’s Worldwide Global Marketing Manager for X-ray Solutions.
The new DRX-Revolution Nano system uses carbon nanotube technology to carry an innovative lightweight with non-motorized system, which makes it easier to transport and position in critical care areas. The DRX-Revolution Nano system have features sleek design with enhanced visibility, compact footprint for easy maneuver and position in tight spaces, independent controls of the diaphragm without moving the tubehead, and advanced lithium iron phosphate battery for longer life with weight of 205 pounds.
According to X-ray Equipment Market report published by Coherent Market Insights, X-ray equipment in healthcare is mainly used for imaging of bone structures, tumors, and breast cancer during surgeries, for detecting fractures in bones and teeth, as well as detecting pneumonia. However, heavy weight of equipment could be difficult to move in critical care areas. This new system can be used as it is lightweight and easy to operate. This new system is designed to operate with FDA cleared Carestream software that generates companion images from an original exposure to enhance visualization of tubes and lines as well as pneumothorax. This software also suppresses the appearance of posterior ribs and clavicles and enhances visualization of soft tissue.
