Google I/O 2018 Conference Date Finally Revealed

Google-IO -Conference-Date-Finally-Revealed

Google I/O developer conference is expected to be held from May 8 to May 10, 2018 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.

Similar to the date of the conference displayed through an online puzzle in 2017, Google revealed its date this year as well, through an online puzzle. It witnessed the engagement of over 100 Discord users, who helped solve the puzzle, working through rooms in Google Maps to discover clues and reveal the date and location of Google I/O 2018.

Google set up clues such as a pineapple cake in one room, perhaps a subtle hint at the true name for Android P. Google enjoys goofing around with its Android names, so it could be just another elaborate tease for Android fans.

2017’s Google I/O focused on Android Oreo, Google Assistant, Google Photos, and Daydream standalone headsets. People are anticipating the next version of Android in 2018, and given Google’s CES focus on its Assistant the company will undoubtedly have more to share about its future plans. Stay tuned to The Verge on May 8, 2018, for live coverage of Google I/O 2018.
