Samsung Collaborates with uBreakiFix to Repair Galaxy Phones Same-Day
Korean electronics giant announced on March 14, 2018 that is joining forces with electronics repair company uBreakiFix to offer repair service for Galaxy phones over 300 locations
Samsung, major smartphone manufacturer announced partnership with the uBreakiFix to offer one-day repair service for costumers with impaired Galaxy devices. The service will be avaible in more 300 locations across the U.S. Customers can schedule online appointments or drop their devices at one of the repair center. The company claims that most of the repairs will be done in less than two hours.
Earlier as a part of customer support, Galaxy owners had to call or chat with a Samsung representative for support, find a nearby repair service or ship their devices to a company facility for repair. Customers also had option of signing up for Samsung’s Premium Care, which offers in-person and virtual support for US$ 11.99 a month. “This announcement marks a fundamental shift in our care offerings to consumers and underscores our commitment to provide Samsung customers with support anywhere, anytime our customers need it,” said Michael Lawder, senior vice president of customer care at Samsung Electronics America.
As a part of agreement, authorized uBreakiFix stores will offer front and back screen replacements, battery replacements, port and camera repairs, and other in- and out-of-warranty services for phones ranging from the Samsung Galaxy S6 to the S9, as well as the Note 5 and Note 8. Furthermore, the company plans to add nearly 200 more locations by 2019.
