WhatsApp Updated Delete Sent Messages Limit to an Hour
WhatsApp, social networking major has extended the time limit for deleting sent message to one hour from 420 seconds
In November, 2017, WhatsApp had introduced delete for everyone feature for sent massages. However, the feature had time limit of 420 seconds (7 minutes) after which users could not delete sent messages. In new update of the app, user can extended to up to one hour for deleting sent messages. Currently, the update is available for beta users and it will roll out to WhatsApp users in near future. Furthermore, the feature is only available for beta users on Android and it will be available for iOS as well.
The app updated various features, which include fixing the gif section crash and modification of some emoticons in stickers. Some users reported that they could not add Gifs in messages as the section would stop working as soon Gifs tab was opened. WhatsApp has also brought back text-only profile update and it will reflect in the profile menu in settings.
Furthermore, WhatsApp is reportedly working on a forward message tag, which will help users to fight off spam and overload of forward messages. As a part of this feature, every forwarded message will carry a forward message tag to inform user that it came from some other chat of chat group. This along with the stickers feature is said to be hidden from the app right now and disabled by default but was reported by WaBetaInfo.
Recently, WhatsApp also rolled out payments feature in India, which allows transaction of money to a WhatsApp number directly from the app. Currently, WhatApp Payment supports several Indian banks including Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, State Bank Of India, Yes Bank, and Airtel Payments Bank.
