Google Instant Play Allows Users to Try Games before Downloading
Google announced six Android game titles that will support instant app streaming, which will be avaible on Play Store with ‘Try Now’ option
In 2017, Google had launched Google Play Instant for developers to introduce native app experience to users without need to install app. The company will allow users to try out games on Play Store before downloading and installing them. It announced launch of new feature at Game Developers Conference 2018. Users can choose among the thousands of games available on the Play Store using Google Play Instant. The new feature comes with ‘Try Now’ option Play Store, which will offers trial of the game for users. According to TechRadar, these game trials offer tutorials and full levels or playoffs with bots.
The company is expected to start adding more games on Google Play Instant in 2018. Furthermore, it will also extend this new feature to third-party sources in near future. Games shared as external links on social media and ads will come with the trial option. Few games compatible with Play Instant include Clash Royale, Words with Friends, Solitaire, Final Fantasy XV, Bubble Witch 3 Saga, and Mighty Battles. The initiative taken by company is a part of Instant Apps announced in October 2017.
This is feature is an extension of Android Instant Apps which lets users try out the app on the web before downloading them. User can check out all the eligible games on Play Store itself under the tab ‘Instant Gameplay’. There will be new ‘Arcade’ tab on Play Store, which will show trailers for games. It also comes with tags such as ‘New’ or ‘Action’ to help users search for games on Play Store. The company will display more information about games on news and YouTube videos. Apple also started giving more importance to developers by showing additional information on the App Store.
