Samsung declares Galaxy Note 8 Premium Smartphone Pre-orders Hits Highest Mark Amongst the Note Series
Samsung Electronics Company Ltd on 12th of September 2017 declared that, pre-orders for its new Galaxy Note 8 premium and high tech smartphone have surpassed the demand for all other Note series manufactured by the company in the past. Preorders for Galaxy Note 8 have the highest ever demand compared to all other Note series smart phones till launched date. Galaxy Note 8 has won over its predecessors such as Note 7 within five days by roughly 2.5 times.
The electronics company has been banking on the new device to maintain dominance in the market against its competitors such as Apple, which is set to launch its highly awaited iPhones set to be unveiled soon. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is open for sales in the United States as well as in South Korea. The premium smartphone will be sold elsewhere starting from15th of September 2017.
Pre-orders for Note 8 reached up to 650,000 handsets within five days of its launch in approximately 40 countries. This has certainly made the phone’s initial public response extremely encouraging for the company, says the president of mobile communications business in Samsung Electronics, DJ Koh, in an exclusive media event. The company had to face severe loss after the failure of the short-lived Note 7 smart phones.
The battery fires of Note 7 led the company to withdraw the smartphone from the market merely after two months of its launch facing massive loss of billions dollars. However, the new Note 8 has succeeded and surpassed the expectations of Note 7 and is performing extremely well in the market. After Samsung’s reputation tarnished, it still decided to retain and re-launch its Note brand after conducting a survey that showed 85%, that is nearly 5,000 users of Galaxy Note exhibited brand loyalty, mentioned Koh. Samsung stands as the biggest smartphone manufacturer worldwide in terms of market share.
